AI Teaching Assistants

The AI Teaching Assistant (AI TA) project develops AI-powered tools trained on individual course materials to provide personalized learning experiences for students. These AI assistants help clarify course content, generate practice questions, and adapt to students' preferred learning styles, enhancing both engagement and comprehension while offering real-world AI development experience to student creators.
LA Fires Zoning Code Agent
Spring 2025 – Present
This project leverages AI to automate zoning and building code analysis, simplifying complex regulatory landscapes for property owners and architects. Initially piloted to support wildfire recovery in Los Angeles, the system generates site-specific zoning reports, visualizations of buildable areas, and 3D massing models. The tool aims to expedite rebuilding efforts and reduce professional overhead in zoning compliance, with future applications in property development nationwide.
